BMW 5 Series 2008 BMW M 5 WHITE BLACK SMG TRANSMISSION 22000 MILES
US $54,800.00
BMW Auction Online
Many people have heard about seized government auctions where the government (or local cities) auction off the merchandise and property of criminals who've been arrested. But there is another type of auction that is a GREAT way to get some fantastic bargains on cars. These are impounded car auctions. After a car has been towed to the local city impound it remains there until the owner comes to pay the associated tickets and claim their vehicle. If the owner never comes - the city auctions it off!
There are usually a wide variety of cars, different models, etc. Unlike some other auctions, you'll be able to examine them before the actual auction. You'll also have the vehicle's VIN so you can get a full service history.
Two caveats to these (or any) auctions:
1. Cars that are sold at a police auto auction are sold "as is" with no warranty or guaranty at all.
2. Even though the car was seized by the police, and taken away from the original owner, the bank or finance company may still have a lien on that car. Even though you buy that car at a police auto auction, you will still have to make some arrangement to pay off the finance company unless the police do that with some of the money that they receive.
If you're looking for a good deal on a car, it's still worth the trip to one of these auctions. You'll be amazed how much you can save.
Three things you should do before bidding at one of these auctions:
1. Check all the fluids starting with the oil. Look for any drips or leaks.
2. Bring a pair of jumper cables. Once you win one of these cars at auction, chances are the battery is dead. A pair of jumper cables will save you a big headache in getting the car to start to get it off the lot.
3. Even if the car isn't exactly what you had in mind for driving around town, you can resell it for a nice profit, which is what I do! Whether you're looking to find a car for yourself or to resell at a profit - there's plenty of money to be made or saved! Check out our website for more...
